an rare 17th century gold and white enamel pendant reliquary 'instruments of the passion' cross. the hinged front with applied enamelled corpus christi below 'inri' opening with a screw fastener to reveal a vacant interior, originally containing a sacred relic. the reverse of the cross is engraved with the instruments of christ's passion. the enamelling is in good condition considering its age with minimal ware. size 3cm high.
